When the soft tissue containing all the nerves and blood vessels inside your tooth becomes inflamed or diseased a root canal is necessary to remove it. During your procedure, we will numb the affected area, remove the infected tissue, clean the area thoroughly and then seal it. Common causes of root canals are:
- Deep cavities
- Repeated dental procedures
- Cracked or broken teeth
- Injury to the tooth
After your root canal regular check ups are still necessary because even though your tooth has no nerves, it can still develop cavities and gum disease!
